Collaboration

The area has various sectors of eco-systems which can be better linked by improved good quality green infrastructure eg trees and hedges, allowing for species and human travel from upland to forest to river valleys and catchments.

We are carrying out activities to appropriate scale – from landscape to micro to ensure that we have a complementary range of actions that reflect the complexity of our environment and allow positive interaction, monitoring and evaluation.  The scale in effect has been mapped out for us by the topography, geology and settlement of the area.

The condition of the ecosystems highlights the need for collaborative action – climate change with increased temperatures and more intense rainfall event necessitates strategic co-operation and collaboration combined with a range of value for money activities that can develop into a sustainable land and natural resource management plan for the area. This allows us to be a useful case study for others to follow.
